If you have a passion for crepes, you need to meet June.:
Just in time for tomorrow - on Wednesdays, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
she has her Funky Brunch Café at Cravings - 76 Shenango Ave., downtown Sharon, Pa.,
June makes authentic French crepes. Her menu varies week to week; but, she
always presents both sweet and savory varieties - such as orange marmalade with
cinnamon and sugar or grilled meltz - 4 cheese, sun dried tomato tapenade. I chose
the egg white crepe with sundried tomato tapenade. Excellent and huge.
Jean's Bluegrass Kitchen is a mobile café & music venue. She is a personal chef,
event chef and Culinary Educator and available
for catering parties at your home or anywhere. And,, she is up on the latest trends and is
known for her
"Farm To Table" cooking and using the best and fresh produce. She likes
to use local products whenever possible.
Her mobile "pop up" kitchen is really quite a bohemian idea & as the saying goes. . .
If you want it, she can create it.
I do want to note that The Bluegrass Kitchen chooses to use all bio-degradable
products in that she is teaching the customers to reduce the carbon foot prints
on America.
I was truly fascinated by this idea. And, she is just delightful. I did not go there
with the intent of doing an interview. I went because I was starved and
had heard wonderful things about her crepes. My lunch turned into
a special afternoon. I felt so "at home" with her, I just wanted to pull my stool
right around the counter and visit while I savored a wonderful crepe.
Please make a point, REALLY, of enjoying her French crepes.
