A Little Old & Something New
A metamorphosis of sorts is taking place in my Studio, today.
Sunbeams play across the Studio floor laying their own forms of architectural
design..
Quiet, with only the soft sounds of the music of an old tape titled
"Sax For Lovers" and the gentle melody of the water running in the
fountain.
I am intoxicated with my world.
It has been a long, long time that I have had the total freedom to go out to
the studio just to let myself be with the flow of creativity.
And, once there - as many of you understand - I stand in the middle of the floor
looking around, walking to the different stations there in . . . .
and wondering where do I start? What do I pick up first? I am blind
and blocked. I feel excited - but, not sure where to place it.
I am blank. I love the smells, picking and feeling the soft hairs of my brushes,
going to the well organized drawers of every imaginal thing that I have
collected for collage work - and just looking...... . . . . I then say to myself,
"Just begin".
So, here you will see the beginning of the layouts for my 13 collages that
will be sent to New Zealand for the" 18th International Collage
Exhibition And Exchange".
I love taking part in this exhibition; and over the years have met and become
friends with so many, many talented and inspiring artists from
every corner of the world.
