Art is created in so many ways and so many forms.  All comes from within the

heart and soul.

I have to share this lovely and magical glass cottage of Brenda, a friend who

we were lucky enough to meet a few years back through our dear friend, Susan

Helmetzi.  Brenda is Susan's neighbor; and is beautiful both inside and out.

This was love at first sight for me - this cottage.  I want to live in it and dream.......

Brenda visualized this glass cottage and began her window finding journey - to flea

markets, yard sales, garage sales, auctions and stopping randomingly at homes either

being torn down or remodeled.  And, then with the assistance of neighbors built the frame

and began hanging the windows......even highlighting antique hinges and locks.

Along with the white antique furniture, the glass cottage includes a lovely white, antique

day bed - draped and covered in a white and mint green quilt and pillows.  Inviting one

to curl up and read and dream even on a rainy day.

As a note, Brenda also fosters on weekends baby puppies that will be trained

as service dogs.

I hope you have enjoyed meeting my fellow artist and friend, Brenda.  And, I

am so happy and honored to have spent time with treasured friends in her

 My recent trip to visit

my girlfriend in Georgia

afforded me the opportunity

to visit a number of really

exceptional galleries and time in

artists' own studios.

While in the Tannery Artist

Row Colony, I was particularly drawn to the art of Judy Isaak.  She was both very

gracious and very informative.  Her work moves the spirit; and, pieces can be used

for purely decorative purposes and some for practical use.  The pottery is unique

and much is raku design.  She describes process and techniques.

I knew immediately that my splurge would be spent treating myself to some of her

art and also some gifts.  The piece above is one  that I am keeping for

myself.  In future Blogs, I will include other photos.
