"Opening Paris"
BIOGRAPHY
I am a Multi-media artist who is a life time resident of Kinsman, Ohio; and, pursues my
art in my lake side studio on Kinsman Lake. I also enjoy a small summer home of the bluffs above Lake Erie
in Conneaut, Ohio where I paint plein-air.
I retired from the Legal Dept of a Child Welfare Agency, after 30 years of service.
I also wrote for community newspapers under my column, "Main Street".
I have and do involve myself in volunteer work and have assisted
in various political campaigns.
I am a self--taught artist. And, my life has always centered around both the visual and performing arts;
whether it be singing, pianist, dancer, writing, poetry and painting. Additionally, I have studied Creativity and Surface Design under
nationally recognized artist, Sandy Shelenberger of Conneaut, Ohio; Tom Balbo, artist and Board Member of The Morgan Art Of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio; and, Fran Thompson of Vienna, Ohio. I was also owner and Resident Artist of Lakeside Studio, retail business
and Gallery for 5 years. And, in September of 2009 studied Encaustic Design with Lorraine Glessner, Instructor in Fiber & Encaustic Art
and Professor at Tyler School of Arts in Philadelphia, Pa.
Galleries of Representation of my Art include 29 Logan Ave Gallery, Sharon, Pa; and The Sandpiper Gallery
in the Historic District, Bridge St., Ashtabula, Ohio. I also remain under continued commission of my art
with Atty. and Mrs Craig H. Neuman. My also being in private collections.
Techniques include: water colors, oils, acrylics, encaustic, collage and assemblege, surface design,
silk fusion which includes mobil art installations, and silk painted Oriental screens.
I continue to donate my art to various charitable and fund raising events
and organizations including - The Annual Women's History Month Dinner, Conneaut Center For The Arts,
North East Regional Kidney Foundation, Opera Western Reserve and Orchestra and Ballet,
and, the The Annual Win-Win Foundation Cancer Benefit and The North East Regional Kidney Foundation.
I speak, upon request, at various clubs and organizations.
I create from my heart and express the world that surrounds me.
