"Dam Girl! You make good Art!" A journey from the Spring of 2016 to now! My journey as an artist has been one of minimal travel! My journey as a person in this same time has been made up of highs - very highs and crashes flat to the ground.
When I turned 70, I wrote a book, "The Art Of 70" ; and in it I mentioned that I was excited to have years ahead filled with new adventures. And, in the almost 5 years since then. .... there have without a doubt been many new adventures. Good or bad - I am lucky .... Lucky in life! But, all of that is coming in another book that I am working on now.... "Dancing Beyond The Breakers at 75" .
The recent journey has been stepping back into my Studio. I felt like a stranger . . . smell the smells that only studios hold.....feeling the fine hairs of brushes..... looking in drawers and cabinets .... and unwrapping art....... beautifully framed pieces that have graced the walls of galleries and exhibits. And, I thought to myself..... "Dam Girl! You make good art!" ! !
