New piece - a scroll made of rice paper 


and kozo paper.  Encaustic technique is used

for the body.  The kozo paper was soaked

and while still wet was pulled so as a ragged

rustic edge.  Dried and then applied

encaustics and then laid a stencil down and

brushed white encaustic over and just

briefly and very lightly fused with hot gun.

Lift gently and you have the white birch.

That piece is added to the scroll with just a

couple dots of hot wax so that it is rasied

from the scroll itself to give a 3-D view.
