FENG SHUI~~
The photo is a picture of a close up panel
of an Oriental screen - oriental room
dividers - that I painted with silk paints &
India Inks. I created this screen this last
fall for a solo exhibit where 42 pieces of
my art were on exhibition at the
Ashtabula Arts Center in Ashtabula,
Ohio.
I like not only the sound of the words
"Feng Shui" - but also the concept.
It, as some may know, is the art of the
placement of your surroundings -
whether it be your living space, your
work space - the areas around
which you live.
It is a very, very old art. The Chinese have practiced it for over a thousand
years. The art of Feng Shui enhances the flow of engery surrounding
you. This flow of engery creates peace and harmony in the way you
conduct your daily life.
It has to do with the arrangement of furniture, mirrrows, placement of
your bed and even having a living plant in your rooms.
I hope that you close your eyes; and think of clean, and crystal
thoughts and how you might bring Feng Shui into your life.
