BEACH THOUGHTS IN DECEMBER
Finally a day in the Studio. Many holiday places to go today and
also participate in - but, taking a break for solitute.. I could be baking, I
could be shopping, I could be at the theatre, I could .... I could ........ I could ....
But, as Janis Joplin said, " You got to get it while you can" and some-
times that means studio time, as well:))
This piece is encaustic wax - molten wax and graphite on rice paper. It is
hanging from drift wood I found on the beach in the summer time and
the bottom weighted with a stone from the beach. Here and there
are 3 or 4 pieces of sea glass and pottery - treasures of the beach.
And, I do have to mention that early this morning while enjoying that first
cup of coffee, I read a note from a friend in Denmark who said it was
snowing ALOT there and she also posted along with the note, from UTube
the symphony playing "Silent Night". One of my favorites - there is the
holiday feeling everywhere. However. lets all remember the people who are
not a fortunate as we are and some how like the treasures on the beach -
give and share as we can -
