A month! My gosh! I cannot believe it has been one month and one day
since I wrote my last Blog. A lot of water over the dam since then.
On Wednesday of this Week, I needed to drop some art off; and I just left for
the day and not looking back. I made it an Art Day. Two free days in one week
is a surprise in itself!
First stop was at the Framing Loft in Hermitage to have Jeff rewire the large
piece of art that was going to a show.
Second stop and one that I was going to make, no matter what was the
exhibit of local artist & photographer, Terry Polonsky, at the Community
Library Of The Shenango Valley, in downtown Sharon, Pa. His artistic
expression will take your breath away. I was so drawn in to his
art, I forgot to take a photograph.
While I was there, I spoke with Patrick Liscio who had invited me to be "Artist
Of The Month" in August. And, I gladly accepted the invitation.
Next stop, dropping off my art for the Random Acts Of Artist's "Spring
Show" in the gallery space at Never Enough Yarn, also located in downtown
Sharon, Pa. My piece is titled "Lilacs"; is acrylics and 2" X 4" . Again, not a
photo of it.
From there I was headed to the Gallery at Cravings in downtown Sharon, Pa..
The work of fellow artist and friend and "Artist Of The Month", Linda Brink
was about to come down on Thursday and I did not want to
miss seeing it.
I admire her work; and I am always spell bound by her
ability
to capture the
likeness and spirit of the person who she has painted.
Her
work makes me
happy - her work is contagious with inspiration.
Art in another form was found at Cravings as well; and I am going to tell you
about in the next Blog. If you like French Crepes - you will want to
tune in. ~
